Your Data
The agent is only as honest as its sources, here are the four kinds, and how each stays true
1, Your store, connected live
If your shop runs on Shopify, WooCommerce, or Squarespace, the Builder usually finds the store's own product feed and connects it directly. Nothing is copied or imported: every answer reads the store at that moment, so a price change or a sold-out item is reflected in the very next conversation. There is nothing to keep in sync, ever.
Some stores sit behind bot protection that blocks this connection. The Builder tells you plainly when that happens and asks for a catalog export instead, it never pretends a blocked store is connected.
2, Your files and photos
Attach what you have, directly in the chat: a price list as CSV or Excel, a brochure as PDF, photos of products. The Builder reads them, including reading photos by sight, and turns them into structured records the agent can query and present.
Product photos have a faster lane: the Agent tab's bulk upload takes up to thirty images at once, hosts them, and has the Builder match each photo to its product by filename. Attach once; every screen that shows that product shows its photo.
3, Any system your business runs
Booking engines, point-of-sale systems, inventory software, if it has an API that returns data, it can become a live source. Tell the Builder about the system; it inspects a real response, maps the fields, and wires it in. Answers then read your system directly, exactly like a live store feed.
4, Connected apps
Everyday business apps, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Sheets and more, can be connected through managed sign-in: the Builder gives you a consent link, you approve access in your own account, done. No API keys, nothing pasted. You can disconnect at any moment from the Agent tab, and the agent instantly loses access.
- Your account, never your customers'. Connections are made by you, the owner, for the business, a calendar of available slots, a sheet used as a price list. Customers are never asked to sign in to anything.
- Reading only, for now. The agent can look things up in a connected app; taking actions there (sending email, creating events) is a later milestone with its own confirmation step.
- Only what's needed. The Builder connects the two or three capabilities your product actually uses, never an app's whole surface.
Choose connections whose contents belong in front of customers. A calendar of open slots does; a private inbox is for an internal assistant, not a public site.
One rule above all four
The agent treats your data as the only truth. It quotes what a source returns and says “I don't have that” when a source comes back empty, it does not estimate, round, or fill gaps from imagination. For businesses whose prices live in a booking engine, the agent keeps confirmed facts (locations, amenities, descriptions) and deep-links customers into your engine for rates and reservations, so pricing has exactly one source of truth.
